Valley Of Heroes

In the Valley of Heroes in Tjentište, 27 km from Foča, there is a memorial complex of the Battle of Sutjeska. The memorial complex includes the Sutjeska Battle Memorial, the ossuary, the Memorial House and 79 other monuments, among which the Grave of Sava Kovačević, the Grave of Nuria Pozderac, the place where Josip Broz Titan was wounded at Ozren, the Memorial of the Second Dalmatian Shock Brigade at Donji Bari, the Memorial of the Fourth Proletarian Montenegrin shock brigade at Ljubina’s grave, Memorial to the deaths of Ivan Goran Kovačić and Dr. Simo Milošević near Vrbnica. At the foot of the complex itself, there is a national cuisine restaurant “Komlen” as well as two luxury villas with a capacity of 30 beds, with a jacuzzi and a sauna, from where tourists start their tour of the mentioned memorials.

Tjentište is also home to the Mladost Hotel, a youth camp, and a sports and recreation center (the Jezero swimming pool, football, handball, indoor soccer, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts).
