Orjen Nature Park

Orjen Nature Park is a protected area of ​​the part of Orjen and Bijela Gora (the northern side of Orjen) on the territory of the city of Trebinje, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. [2] The main value of the Park is represented by geological, geomorphological, biological and landscape diversity and preserved natural ecosystems (exceptional mycological, floristic and vegetational diversity), with numerous endemic, relict, rare and endangered species. After its declaration, this park became the largest protected area in the Republic of Srpska.

On the territory of Montenegro, on an area of ​​8,897 hectares, there is a protected area of ​​the same name and category, which makes the two parks a unique park unit.

Endemo-relic forests of munika and Illyrian beech forests are of special value. The presence of numerous species of birds, autochthonous and allochthonous species of ichthyofauna, amphibians, reptiles and mammals was registered.
