The first register and description of natural water sources of Bosnia and Herzegovina date back to the times of the Austro-Hungarian empire, and the first physical and chemical test was made in 1988. In 1890, this water chemistry analysis was documented by Ernst Ludwig.
A noble but severely ill horse was wandering for weeks and months in the unexplored countryside and finally dropped from exhaustion. He fell into a deep water-hole with a spouting spring. The water in the spring turned out to be healing, the horse recovered in three days and gained strength as if he had never been sick.
The horse’s name was Kulas.
In 2015, the resort went private, when entrepreneur Zemun Dubravko from Prnyavor city bought the resort from the state with an intent to create a health centre. In pursuit of this solution, the resort underwent a complete reconstruction from 2015 to 2016.The renovated facility also has built a new system of hospitality and wellness practices, converting it into a unique and state-of-the-art resort. Every year, the health resort launches new programs, encouraging expansion and development of the complex.
